We are thrilled that we are finally back to school with all of our students assisting in person classes. Our hallways, classrooms, and courts are overflowing with happiness, laughs, and conversations that come from the voices of all our students.

Our campus was finally brought back to life. We extend a warm welcome to all of our community members to our 2021-2022 school year.

For more than a year and a half, our staff has been getting ready for these first weeks of school. Our teachers received targeted training on how to support students as they return to in-person learning, and had been doing all their best to develop new abilities that are much needed now after spending a long while in virtual classrooms. I am privileged to work with an outstanding staff to make it a smooth transition for our students.

Our learning spaces have been modified to expand classrooms. Signs and posters have been placed throughout the building to guide students regarding our safety protocols, and our schedule has been modified to allow for more time for breaks, hand washing, instructional time, and outdoor learning activities. We have designed Stronger systems have been placed on social-emotional learning as we implement our Mentorship program for our high school students. CCMS continues to work on providing extensive instructional resources for teachers that will support student academic progress, emotional learning, and engagement.

We wish all of our stakeholders an amazing and productive school year. The best is yet to come.
