In 2018 Cathedral Community School was accepted and recognized as an Eco-School, earning the green flag from the Eco-Schools Organization. This program seeks to develop a sustainable mindset and environmentally conscious people.

CCMS has been certified as an ECO-SCHOOL by the Institute of environmental law of the Dominican Republic (IDARD). This international program recognizes the work of schools that implement environmental sustainability.
