We’ve found that students benefit greatly, emotionally, personally, and academically from putting a little of their time to make the world a better place. Our school community cares about developing social and environmental awareness in our students. We want our students to be grateful and kind to people, which is why we have implemented the Color of Hope community service program that aims to support low-income organizations, institutions, and other charitable groups of our community.
Community service develops an increased sense of social responsibility, a global view of society, and a heart for helping others. It also provides students with an opportunity to apply academic learning to real-life events. It helps our students’ community in building relationships and social connections with peers and adults and exposes students to diversity.

Cathedral Community School currently supports the following schools/organizations:
• Fundación Avanzare
This non-profit organization is dedicated to the development of educational and health programs to promote the integral development of children and youth in need, taking into account their characteristics, aptitudes, and capacities.
• Fundación de Blanck
Fundación de Blanck is a non-profit organization that rescues cats and dogs from the streets, gives them veterinary services, and brings them to their shelter. In their shelter, they have 80 dogs that they have rescued in order to be put up for adoption.
For the adoption process, the foundation is in charge of evaluating the interested person to determine if they meet the necessary requirements, such as guaranteeing food, health, and hours of rest for the animal.
• Fundación Manos Arrugadas
FUNDAMA is a non-profit organization that promotes a positive vision of the elderly, defends the spaces in society that correspond to them, makes the community aware of the respect and appreciation for the elderly, and promotes the creation of a well-being life plan to them.
• ADOSID
ADOSID is a non-profit institution founded on November 19, 1992. Adosid was born thanks to the commitment of a group of parents who understood that only by joining their efforts together, they could improve the living conditions and optimize the physical, intellectual and emotional development of people with Down syndrome.
